The Sudden Realisation

Posted on May 28, 2010

Compared to eternity, our lives are blooming flowers in the glory of the rising sun…yet the noonday scorch squashes us to oblivion. The mind of man fathoms not the vast stretch of existence without an end. The present life we live in is an opportunity to respond to the Fathers invitation of living with Him forever, in His eternity domain.  This opportunity is wasted once the precious breath of life abruptly leaves you and there’s the sudden realisation that there was a day I was not, but after I was born, there will never be a single day that I will never be! It will be the sudden realisation of existence without and end… Once you cross-over to the other side of eternity, either in the loving care of the Fathers arms…or the horror of the absence of His light and love, there’s also the realisation that every choice in life had a consequence. And of all choices we could have made in life, there’s no greater one that surpasses the choice of a man choosing his dwelling place in the realm of eternity. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOEVER believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life! (John 3:16) Let’s not be driven away from the focus of Christ who is the pathway to eternal life…because the worries, cares and pleasures of everyday life have the potential and audacity to deviate us from the way everlasting.

Hold on to Jesus..!
